Melon Shrub was founded by Murray Somerville and Jack Burston. Together they print zines and posters including the infamous Macro Shrub zines. These zines are A5 in size, monochrome throughout and feature screen printed covers (by Daisy Whitewolf).
I’m always inspired when people release something they’ve created into the world. Lots of the artists featured in Ammo have their own range of products and online shops.
Murray featured in issue 7 of Ammo and I’ve met him a couple of times too. He’s always full of ideas and bursting with enthusiasm. When he contacted me to let me know he’d recently added a shop to Melon Shrub I thought it’d be great to feature them on the blog. Below you’ll find images of the zines and examples of their screen printed posters. There’s some great work on there including illustrations that’ll raise a smile and some really creative characters.
You can find all the zines and prints in the Melon Shrub shop.
If you’re an independent publisher/maker and would like to be featured on the blog send us a quick email via the contact page.
