Ammo took part in Birmingham's first Eye Candy festival. We took over the bar at French Restaurant, LeTruc with our friends Inkygoodness. We had live drawing from Brothers of the Stripe in the evening and a large table and other seating areas for artists to join in too.
EYE CANDY – A visual pop culture festival
Selecting exhibitors, speakers and designers from across the globe the Eye Candy showcases illustration, art and design through a program of events (exhibitions, expo, meet-ups, interventions), a talks program (with industry heavyweights) and workshops (zine making, screen printing).
The event takes place in the SOUTHSIDE district of Birmingham in local bars, restaurants and spaces. Southside is a couple of minutes walk from Birmingham’s iconic Bullring and main train station New Street. The main street running through Southside is Hurst Street. It’s a vibrant bustling area full of great bars and restaurants and is home to the city’s Chinese community, Gay Village and Theatreland.
