I am an illustrator, magpie, and general stuff-maker from the south coast of England who enjoys working with a mix of traditional and digital methods. I use lots of sketchy pencil linework with digital painting techniques to create lively illustrations with playful concepts!
Illustrating for children is my main passion, but as my style lends itself to a wide variety of applications and audiences I enjoy adapting to any subject or brief. I especially enjoy anthropomorphising unsuspecting animals, and using my style to bring life to seemingly plain topics.
My illustrations are inspired/fuelled by: stealthily drawing people in unusual poses, interesting colours/textures, great music, lots of tea, the occasional biscuit, and walking until exciting ideas creep up on me.
After graduating in 2011, I was chosen as an illustration semi-finalist in the Adobe Design Achievement Awards, and in 2012 I won the Sky Arts Ignition: Creative Wish Brighton prize. Recent clients include Samsung, Tesco Books, Powell Publishing, Haystack Records, and Digital Artist Magazine.
